Project Architect

Responsibilities

  • Successful candidates will take a leadership position, assisting the team Partners with management of the integration of architectural design intentions throughout the DD and CD phases of production within the office

  • In addition to a DD and CD lead development role, the right candidate will be fully equipped to independently identify possible conflicts between DD, CD, and field construction materials and methods.  Clarity, an in-depth knowledge of materials and methods, written communication skills, and efficiency within the workflow of each project will be the key to success in this position 

Daily Duties

  • Create and document AutoDesk generated plans, elevations, details, sections and schedules as required to produce high-quality, best-practice design and technical documentation of projects

  • Assure and manage the integrity of iterative AutoCad data files created for each project

  • Work with the firm’s members to support and develop DD and CD integration in order to maximum efficiency, ingenuity, and outstanding design through iterative DD and CD processes practiced by the firm

  • Work with the purpose of accelerated project development, and meeting or exceeding the firm’s design, project, and financial expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Architecture degree from an accredited university

  • Licensed Architect in the State of Texas is preferred

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working in an Architectural firm with evidence of advancement from Architect-in-Training to a project managerial DD and CD specific role is essential

  • Superior working knowledge of AutoDesk, in particular AutoCAD and Revit, is required

  • Acting as the office Design Integration, CAD, and Construction Documentation Manager, the candidate will work with all members of each project team to consistently improve drawing and drafting standards, design integration, production, and modeling capabilities

  • Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of building systems, specifications and construction methods, including building codes and relevant jurisdictional matters

  • Within our small office environment, it is critical that the candidate fit in as a cooperative student and mentor.

Intern Architect

Responsibilities

  • Learn, grow, and focus on accuracy and quality of drawing production skills. Bring a great attitude and high level of enthusiasm to the office team

  • Know what you are capable of and know when to ask questions when you are unsure

Daily Duties

  • Create and document AutoCAD generated plans, elevations, details, sections and schedules as required to produce best-practice design and technical documentation of projects

  • Develop AutoDesk Revit and Associated Rendering Tool 3D Models for study and presentation

  • Work with the firm’s team members to support and develop DD and CD integration in order to maximize efficiency, and design ingenuity through iterative DD and CD processes practiced by the firm

  • Work with the purpose of accommodating accelerated project development and meeting or exceeding the firm’s design, project, and financial expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university, or Certified AutoDesk Training Academy with evidence of superior success

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Architectural firm with evidence of advancement as an Architect-in-Training or AutoDesk Building Design Suite technician is essential.

  • Superior working knowledge of AutoDesk Building Design Suite programs, and in-particular AutoCAD, Revit, and Associated Rendering Tool 3D Modeling is required

  • Demonstrate a desire for growth in technical knowledge of building systems, specifications and construction methods, including building codes and relevant jurisdictional matters
