Green Park

 

As an result of favorable responses to a separate project, Manchester Road Improvement Plans, Franke : Franke was engaged to make urban design recommendations to the City of Green Park, Missouri related to a series of blocks and other lands along a main arterial highway within the City that were slated for redevelopment.  F:F proposed a general block model including street level retail and commercial, an added live/ work zoning designation, block interior parking, and medium density residential as transition to existing single family neighborhoods.  Higher density residential was proposed around a new community green for City owned land, and pedestrian and bike connections were required to link the new green with a series of parklets located at the center of each redeveloped block, in which market days for outdoor and farm produce sales would be encouraged.
